Printed models & dies

Accurate printed models with the die and articulation setup your case needs — working models, study models and orthodontic models, straight from an open scan file or an impression we scan in.

A model is a tool, not a keepsake — the right die and articulation for how you'll actually use it matter more than anything else.

What we make

Working models with dies (integrated, detachable, or model-only), study and diagnostic models, and orthodontic models — printed to fit the way you plan to use them, with articulation where the case calls for it.

Options, briefly

Specifying a model that prints clean

  • Die type — integrated (fixed), detachable (removable for margin work), or model-only where there's no prep.
  • Articulation — none, pins, or a functional articulator, depending on the case.
  • A clean scan — a noisy or incomplete scan prints a noisy, incomplete model.
  • Any label you want on the base (case number, patient, doctor).
How we think about it

Tell us what the model is for and we'll suggest the die and articulation, rather than making you specify every parameter. The point is a model that does its job in your hands.

How we handle quality

Models are checked against the scan they came from as part of QC, and we'll flag a scan that's too noisy near the margins to print a usable die before we run it.

Send a model job

Submit a scan or an impression for us to scan, get a case number and a status you can follow, and message us on the case itself.
